The Vilore Foods Food Service Team recently participated in the 29th edition of the the largest and longest-running trade show serving the pizza industry – The International Pizza Expo 2013. The La Costeña brand offered a unique niche to more than 6,900 pizzeria owners and operators representing millions of dollars in buying power. Among the key items presented at the Pizza show were unique presentations of Jalapeño and Chipotle peppers truly showcasing La Costeña’s dominant leadership in the category.
One of the most important highlights of this expo was the Keynote Address made by Chef Robert Irvine, host of the Food Network’s prime-time series Restaurant: Impossible. During this presentation, titled “Pizzeria Possible”, the popular television personality shared his perspective on the issues faced by many struggling restaurants. His focus was on drawing from past episodes to present lessons on renovations that really work—in the kitchen, in the front of the house and in the minds of diners.
